Although Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill, was just down the road from the Williams Compound, we didn't manage to visit it until May. We were all glad to have finally made the trip, as Vanbrugh's grand building and rolling grounds provided hours of entertainment, everything from ancient tapestries to putt-putt and giant chess.
