Windsor
May 16, 2004

My parents and I next made a pilgrimage to Windsor, where, in addition to lots of overflying planes from nearby Heathrow Airport, we saw Windsor Castle, its wonderful grounds, its touristy environs, and even the Queen! The Castle is a palace converted from a thousand-year-old fort built by William the Conqueror, and much of it has been recently renovated after a devastating fire in 1992.
