Guangzhou
August 14, 2008

After an eventful weekend in Beijing, I headed south to Guangzhou, where Elizabeth spent the summer working. I quickly found that Southern China is no cooler than the North in August, though it does seem to be possessed of more air conditioners. Guangzhou is known for its location astride the Pearl River, one of China's three longest rivers, and one of the world's most polluted.
