Gulfoss
September 13, 2008

The second highest waterfall in Iceland, Gulfoss was the first stop on our Golden Circle tour. The falls are part of environmental legend here, where it is said that Sigridur Tomasdottir threatened to throw herself from the falls if her father, Tomas Tomasson, sold Gulfoss to foreign investors in order to build a power plant.
